Neglected Tropical Disease: Targets of Opportunity
The Faculties of Pure and Applied Sciences and Medical Sciences in association with Graduate Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona have organized a Distinguished Lecture to be delivered by Dr. Mark Eberhard, Director of Parasitic Diseases at the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, USA. His lecture is entitled “Neglected Tropical Disease: Targets of Opportunity.” The lecture takes place on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 5 pm at the Main Medical Lecture Theatre located at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
The presentation will explore the most common Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), current status of control efforts, and expectations and limitations of going forward.
