ICT Research Conference for the Caribbean Staged at UWI, Mona
"Development of Information Communication Technology in the Caribbean Region-Research, Applications and Policies" is the theme of the inaugural ICT Research Conference being staged by the Caribbean Academy of Sciences (CAS). The Conference takes place on March 16-17, 2009 at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre, UWI, Mona.
The Honourable Karl Samuda, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Trade will be the guest speaker at the Opening Ceremony on March 16 at 8:30 am. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Professor Robert France of Colorado State University and Professor Kweku-Muata Osei-Bryson of Virginia Commonwealth University. Academics, researchers and experts from the region, United States, Europe and Africa will share at the Conference.
A wide range of topics will be explored at the Conference including: Education Technology and E-learning, Web-based ICT, Software Engineering and Training and Digital Divide and ICT for Development.
