The University of the West Indies, Mona hosts its Welcome Service and Symbolic Matriculation Signing Ceremony on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 9 am at the University Chapel, UWI, Mona.  First year students and staff are invited to attend.  A symbolic signing of the Matriculation Register will take place at the Ceremony.

A Matriculation Ceremony is the occasion on which students are formally recognized as members of a university. Their acceptance into the academic community is marked by the signing of the Matriculation Register.

All new students are required to sign the Matriculation Register on Tuesday, October 6 or Wednesday October 7, 2009 between 10 am to 5:30 pm at the Undercroft, UWI, Mona.
