The UWI Chess Society at UWI, Mona will host the "JNBS UWI Open 2010"on March 15-21, 2010 at the Assembly Hall, UWI, Mona. This year players from several local and overseas tertiary institutions will participate in the Chess Tournament which features International Master Marko Zivanic from the University of Texas and International Master Giorgi Margvelashvili from the University of Maryland.

Chess players at all levels will be facilitated during the tournament, designed to develop chess at the local level and expand the mental capacity of students through involvement in Chess.
