Rastafari Film Series

The Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work, UWI, Mona will host the first film in the Jamaican Rastafari Film Series titled, Runaway Slave: From Botswana to South Africa to Bobo Hill in Jamaica. The film screening takes place on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 6 pm at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1), UWI, Mona. The documentary traces the Journey of a Rastaman, Jesse Jendah, from Botswana to South Africa to Bobo Hill in Jamaica.
The Series is in celebration of eighty years of the Rastafari Movement and fifty years since the Rastafari Report by the University.
