“Civil Society in Jamaica – Resignation or Resurrection?”

 “Civil Society in Jamaica – Resignation or Resurrection?” is the title of the public seminar being staged as part of the Colloquium Series of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), UWI, Mona. The seminar takes place on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2 pm at the Undercroft, UWI, Mona.

Presenters at the seminar will include: The Honourable Dwight Nelson, Minister of National Security; Howard Hamilton, QC; Horace Levy, former Lecturer, UWI, Mona; and Rev. Dr. Roderick Hewitt, Senior Clergy, United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

The Colloquium Series is designed to engage the university community and the public in informed discussion about topical social and economic issues. The next seminar is the Series entitled, "The UK Overseas Territories:  A decade of Progress and Prosperity?"
