UWI, Mona Hosts Lecture for CAPE Unit 2 Students

The Department of History and Archaeology at UWI, Mona will host the second lecture in its Series for student and teachers of CAPE Unit 2 on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10 am at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1), UWI, Mona. The lecture will address select topics covered on the CAPE History syllabus including: Global Conflict and Totalitarianism, Independence and National Development of Venezuela to 1900 and the Impact of the Atlantic Slave Trade on West African Societies and Economies: 1450-1800.

The Lecture Series is designed to provide additional academic support and facilitate further understanding of specific topics for secondary school students sitting CAPE Caribbean History. Lecturers in the Department also recently launched a book titled The Caribbean in the Atlantic World and Global Transformation: Lectures in CAPE History specifically for students and teachers of the CAPE History syllabus.
