On Friday, March 28 at 8:30 am, the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), in association with the UWI Alumni Association, will formally dedicate one of the Faculty’s gardens to the memory of the late Gloria Thompson, former UWI employee.  Situated at the immediate rear of the FSS Main Building, the Gloria Thompson Garden is envisioned as a haven of quiet for students and employees, and also as a tribute to Mrs. Thompson’s appreciation of nature.  The garden will be blessed by Reverend Ruth Anne Goldson and the UWI Administration will make a special presentation to the Thompson family.  UWI staff members who are interested in attending this event may phone Kamala Williams in the Dean’s Office, Social Sciences, 927-2592 or 927-0473 or e-mail: fsocsci@uwimona.edu.jm.
