The ninth annual William Dennis Memorial Lecture is scheduled for Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 5 pm at the Main Lecture Theatre, located at the University Hospital of the West Indies and features two presentations. This year’s lecture will be delivered by, renowned nursing educator, Director and Head, UWI School of Nursing (UWISON) and Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence recipient, Dr Hermi Hewitt.  Her lecture is entitled “Transforming Nursing Education to Meet the Clinical and Health Needs of Persons in a Dynamic Environment”. The second lecture will be delivered by Dr. Barrington Davidson, Family Counselor and Founder of Family Life Ministries. He will share on the topic “Teaching Parents to Build Self Esteem in Their Children”. 

The lecture is held in celebration of the life and service of William “Scope” Dennis, outstanding paediatric surgeon and Associate Lecturer of the University of the West Indies.
