The Centre for Caribbean Thought (CCT) hosts the launch of two publications on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Multifunctional Room, Main Library, UWI, Mona.  The books, Thought of The New World, The Quest for Decolonisation is the fourth in the Caribbean Reasonings series and is edited by Brian Meeks and Norman Girvan and the second book, Gordon K. Lewis On Race, Class and Ideology in the Caribbean is a collection of writings by the late political sociologist, Gordon K. Lewis.

The launch takes place as part of the 7th Caribbean Reasonings Conference hosted by the CCT under the theme, Freedom and Power in the Caribbean: The Work of Gordon K. Lewis,.
The conference runs from September 30-October 2 at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre and the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre, UWI, Mona.
