The Office of Administration and Special Initiatives, UWI through its Special International Group Programmes office, has collaborated on the design of four programmes to be delivered in May 2003 on the Mona Campus.  During this month, some 54 students from 4 universities and colleges in the USA along with 8 faculty members will participate in tailor-made courses covering various aspects of socio-cultural, historical, political and economic issues related to the Caribbean in general, and Jamaica in particular.  The visitors will be on the campus for varying periods ranging from 6 to 28 days.  Their programmes consist of academic interaction with UWI lectures and presenters from the wider society, as well as related field visits and exposure to cultural events.
