The Verdict Is In

The Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work and the National Heritage Month Committee at UWI, Mona presents the last film in its Film Series entitled, “The Verdict Is In” by Dr. Ray Hagins. The film screening takes place on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 6 pm at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1), UWI, Mona.
“The Verdict Is In” is a film which makes the case that the origin of science, technology, philosophy and monotheistic religion is Africa, specifically Egypt. The film sees Dr. Hagins taking the viewer on a pictorial walk through the Nile Valley of Ancient Egypt with over 350 pictures/slides to demonstrate the plagiarism of Egyptian ideas and concepts by the Greeks and the Romans. He is thus able to demonstrate that the basis for Greek and Roman civilizations and thus European civilization is in general rooted in Africa. Even the theological basis for Judaism, Christianity and Islam comes from various Egyptian conceptions and ideas, according to Hagins.
The university community and the public are invited to attend. Admission is FREE. For more information telephone 977-0646.
