“The Caribbean Region - Opportunities for All in Challenging Times” is the title of the World Bank public lecture hosted by UWI, Mona on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 6 pm at the Council Room, UWI, Mona. Pamela Cox, World Bank Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean will deliver the Lecture.

The presentation will focus on the challenges to growth in the Caribbean with specific emphasis on Jamaica in the context of the current economic recession. It will also briefly explore the opportunities to be found in addressing some key challenges including debt, climate change and crime and violence.

The university community and the public are invited to attend.
