The 15th All African Students’ Conference
The 15th All African Students’ Conference (AASC) will be held at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies from May 22-24 under the auspices of the Marcus Garvey Movement and the Guild of Students. The AASC is held annually at different universities around the world. The main aim of the conference is to provide students of African descent with a forum to share and exchange ideas and information. It is also aimed at promoting linkages between Africa and the Diaspora.
The 15th AACS will be organized around the theme “Pan-Africanism at the beginning of the 21st Century: New century, Same Challenges”. Concurrent panels will emerge from such themes as “Rethinking African Development”, “Pan Africanism and the Challenges of Globalization”, “The Future of Relations between Africa and the Diaspora” and “Culture and the African Renaissance”.
