Postgraduate Student Awarded Prize for Survey

Ms. Karen Clarke, a postgraduate student pursuing the Master of Science degree in Sociology-Social Policy and Administration was recently presented with a laptop at a Handing Over Ceremony held at the Office of Graduate Studies, School for Graduate Studies and Research.
The online Postgraduate Experience Survey- You Talk; We Listen, began in June 2010 and saw approximately seven hundred and fourteen (714) graduate students participating in the Survey on the Mona Campus. The Survey was implemented through the Office of Planning and Development and the University Quality Assurance Unit with the support of the Office for Graduate Studies, School for Graduate Studies and Research on three of the UWI campuses. Through the Survey the University hopes to collect data to inform decision making, examine student satisfaction and assist the University in continuously improving the teaching, learning, support services and supervisory elements of postgraduate programmes. The results of this Survey will inform the development of student support systems and quality mechanisms that will improve the experience and throughput rates of UWI postgraduate students.
