Annual Business Meeting of UWI Council
The Council of the University of West Indies at its Annual Business Meeting last Friday, April 4 approved several recommendations including those for the increase of tuition fees for the 2003 to 2004 academic year. The fees for the St. Augustine and Cave Hill Campuses will remain the same while increases in fees at Mona will be kept in line with the current rate of inflation. As such the fees for the Faculties of Humanities and Education, Social Sciences, Pure and Applied Sciences, as well as the Advanced Nursing Programme will move from some $109,000 to just over $116,000. The fees for the Faculty of Medical Sciences Pre-Clinical will move from $174,692 to $185,698. Fees for students in the Faculty’s Clinical Programme will move from $332,818 to $353,786. The Faculty of Law will move from $120,418 to $128,004.
