UWI, Mona Western Jamaica Campus Stages Flavour of the Caribbean

Final year students at the UWI, Mona-Western Jamaica Campus pursing a major in Public Relations will stage a multicultural event dubbed “Flavours of the Caribbean” on Thursday, February 17 at 2 pm. The event will highlight the regional diversity of the University through a cultural display of food, music, dance, drama and booth displays. The showcase will include cultural presentations from Jamaica, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Venezuela. The occasion will also feature novelty events and a Caribbean Ambassador competition.
The event is aimed at exposing students and patrons to the rich diversity of the UWI, Mona –Western Jamaica Campus and to foster a greater appreciation of the differences and similarities among the Caribbean people.
The University community and the public are invited to be a part of this Caribbean fest. Admission is free, food sampling costs J$100.
