Public Lecture at UWI, Mona Marks 2011 International Women’s Day Celebrations

“Education and Training: Decent Work for Women” is the title of the public lecture being delivered by Mrs. Maxine Henry-Wilson, former Minister of Education and Youth. The topic of the Lecture is in keeping with the focus designated by the United Nations for 2011, Equal Access to Education, Training and Science and Technology: Pathway to Decent Work for Women. The Lecture takes place on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 12 noon at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1), UWI, Mona. The event marks the centenary celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 and is organized by the Institute for Gender and Development Studies, Mona Unit.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

The university community and the public are invited.
