UWI, Mona Foreign Language Students Take the Stage

The Department of Modern Languages and Literaturesat UWI, Mona hosts the 12th annual Inter-Campus Modern Languages Theatre Festival on March 29-30 at 9 am at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts (PSCCA), UWI, Mona. The Festival will see Modern Languages students from the Cave Hill, Mona and St. Augustine campuses performing a range of plays in Spanish, French and Portugese. It also features Chinese and Japanese cultural items.

The Theatre Festival is hosted alternately by each of the three campuses of UWI on an annual basis. The event is designed to stimulate interest in foreign language and engage student foreign languages outside of the classroom and put into practice what they have learnt. The event also helps to foster a regional spirit.

Secondary school students studying foreign languages are specially invited to attend the Theatre Festival.  Admission is J$100. For more information interested persons may contact 927-2743.
