UWI Seminar Examines Alternative Methods of Financing SMEs in Jamaica
“Alternative Methods of Financing for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Jamaica” is the title of public seminar being organized by the Department of Management Studies, UWI, Mona. 
Professor Graham Hall, former Director of the Ph.D. programme at Manchester Business School and venture capitalist will deliver the keynote address.  His address is entitled, "Long – Term Winners: Do They Exist?   Can They be Spotted? The seminar takes place on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 10 am at the Council Room, UWI, Mona.

The seminar will also see presentations being made by: Aubyn Hill, Chairman, Nation Growth, Douglas Lindo, Managing Director, Bellindo Limited and Dr. Densil Williams, Senior Lecturer, UWI, Mona.

The event is designed to further the debate and put forward policy proposals on alternative financing options available to SMEs in light of the onerous requirements to access financing from the traditional banking sector.
