UWI Hosts Get Healthy Living Campaign-“Aerobics Burnout”

The Jamaica Medical Students’ Association (JAMSA) at the UWI, Mona Campus through its Standing Committee of Public Health (SCOPH) and the University Health Centre Education Outreach host an annual Healthy Lifestyle Campaign project dubbed “Aerobics Burnout”. The event gets on the way on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2 pm at the Students’ Union.

UWI students and staff are especially invited to be a part of the Aerobics Burnout which will see aerobics instructors taking the lead of aerobic sessions where registered students called 'aerobodies' will be invited to participate. To register for the Aerobics Burnout sessions interested persons may e-mail scoph.jamsa@gmail.com or register on the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded. There will also be presentations addressing eating healthy on a budget, blood pressure and Body Mass Index testing and information on healthy living.

The campaign is aimed in promoting and fostering healthy living among the university community.
