The UWI’s Department of Life Sciences in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences will offer a Master of Science in Plant Production and Protection come the 2003-2004 academic year.  The new programme will be offered part-time over two years and will cover topics such as plant production, propagation and harvesting; weeds, soils and climate; pre and post harvest management of pests and diseases; and research methodology.  The qualification for entry is a B.Sc. Degree in a Biological or Agricultural Science.
