Panel Discussion on Progress of the Downtown Kingston Redevelopment Project

The Department of Geography and Geology, UWI, Mona in collaboration with the Jamaican Geographical Society will host a panel discussion on the Progress of the Downtown Kingston Redevelopment Project. The event takes place on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2 pm in Lab 1, ground floor of the Department of Geography and Geology.

The panelists will include: Andrine McLaren, Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), Simone McCulloch, National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA), Allison Richards, Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) and Imran Forbes, Urban Development Corporation (UDC).

The Forum will provide an opportunity to expose students to practical challenges and realities impacting and shaping the modern-day Jamaican society and to see theoretic principles being implemented. Additionally this occasion provides a forum in which key stakeholders may share ideas and forge strategic partnerships during this transitional phase of the Redevelopment Project.
