The University of the West Indies, Mona partners with First Global Bank Limited to host its annual Blood Drive on April 5-6 starting at 9 am daily at the Assembly Hall, UWI, Mona. During this year’s Blood Drive the Hall with the most Blood Donors from the November 2010 Blood Drive will be recognized at a Special Ceremony on April 5 at 10:30 am at the Assembly Hall. The Hall with the most donors for this year’s Blood Drive will also receive a trophy at the end of the two day event.

The Blood Drive is a part of the organizers effort to encourage blood donation as a habit. The UWI is also a major corporate blood donor.  The Blood Drive committee is also supported by final year Social Marketing students at the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), UWI, Mona.

The university community and the public are encouraged to give a hand to those seriously in need of blood.
