The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) at UWI, Mona will host the official launch of the Summer Internship Programme which forms part of the Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management. The Launch takes place on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Multifunctional Room of the UWI Main Library. 

The Summer Internship is designed to provide students pursuing a degree in Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management with real-world work experience to complement their classroom learning. It is also an opportunity for students to network with potential employers in the entertainment and cultural enterprise industries.

Students participating in the Internship programme will also participate in workshops geared at sharpening their skills for the workplace and ensure a smooth transition in their role as interns.
The Launch will serve to formalize the partnership and the opportunity will also be used to invite the future participation of other interested organizations.
