Campus Talent Agency Hosts Fundraising Concert
VYBE, is a free concert featuring student talent from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus such as artistes, poets and dancers. The concert is set for Friday, April 15 at 6:00 pm on the lawns of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC). The event forms part of the CARIMAC Building Fund fundraising effort.
Popular campus artistes like Garrizon, Gramma Zone and Iyah Ingi will perform at VYBE, accompanied by poets like award-winning Sean Bennett among others and dancer Ariane Collman.
The event will mark the official opening of Tertiary Talents, a freelance talent agency aimed at promoting performing artistes on the Mona Campus. The agency was created by Innovative Business Partners (IBP), a student organization that seeks to empower students and develop entrepreneurial skills through the performing arts. The IBP has partnered with the CARIMAC Development Initiative (CDI), another student organization that seeks to raise funds towards the CARIMAC Building Fund.
Admission is free however, attendees are asked to make a donation towards the CARIMAC Building Fund.
