New security arrangements were recently put into effect for the Senate Building at UWI, Mona.  The official opening hours for the building are 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  All persons visiting the building outside of normal working hours, which are 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, will be required to comply with procedures at the reception desk.  UWI staff and students when visiting the building are requested to prominently display ID cards on their persons.  Card access facilities have been installed at various points and access to the second floor for all persons, other than staff working on the building will only be allowed via the entrance near the Undercroft.
