The Department of Physics at UWI, Mona hosts a Science is Fun Field Trip especially geared for grade six students from corporate area primary schools. The Field Trip takes place from Friday, May 27 to Thursday, June 2. Approximately four hundred (400) students are expected to participate in the Field Trip which will be staged in two hour sessions starting at 10 am and 12:30 pm daily during the period.

The students will have an opportunity to “taste and see that Science is fun” through interactive demonstrations, computer simulations and experiments.

This is a part of the Department’s outreach activities to engage students and stimulate an interest in science.  The Department also hosts field trips for fifth form Physics students and CAPE Workshops in Physics.
