UWI Graduate Receives Cash Prize for Participation in Tracer Survey

Kemar Baxter, a Computer Science graduate from Humanities and Education, was the lucky winner of a $50,000 cash prize for participating in the recently concluded UWI Tracer Survey.
Mr. Baxter was one of more than 900 first degree graduates who participated in a Tracer Survey conducted by the Office of Planning and Institutional Research (OPAIR) during the first quarter of 2011. The Survey targeted 2009 first degree graduates to assess their employment prospects and satisfaction with the education they received, while at the University of the West Indies.
While the data is still under analysis, the information will help to shape the programmes of study that will ultimately benefit UWI students and employers of UWI graduates.
Principal, Professor Gordon Shirley expressed his thanks to all the graduates who took the time to complete the survey and encourages all alumni to keep in touch with UWI.
