St. Lucian PM, Dr. The Hon. Kenny Anthony Delivers Address at Law and Justice Conference

Prime Minister of St. Lucia, Dr. the Honourable Kenny Anthony will deliver the keynote address during the Opening Ceremony of the Law and Justice in the Commonwealth Caribbean Conference slated for February 2-3, 2012. The Opening Ceremony takes place on Thursday, February 2 at 6 pm at the Faculty of Law, UWI, Mona.
The Conference continues on February 3 from 9 am with presentations from local and regional experts at the Pegasus Hotel. In observance of the fiftieth anniversary of the independent movement in the Anglophone Caribbean, the 50|50 Project is designed to review the past fifty years and look ahead to the next fifty. In keeping with this concept, the Law & Justice Conference will examine law, legal institutions and justice in the context of post-independence Caribbean societies. Although law is the springboard for this conference, the themes include a variety of other disciplines which can help to explain and bring meaningful perspectives on the law as a feature of post-independence societies.
All are invited to attend especially members of the legal and justice fraternity and other such stakeholders. For more information on the Conference interested persons may contact SALISES at 927-1234.
