“Many Languages-One Message: Let’s Cross It” is the theme of the Modern Languages Day and International Food Fair on Thursday, March 29. The Day’s activities begin at 12 noon with a Food Fair and Films and Music Session. A Concert follows at 2 pm in Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1).

During an Handing Over Ceremony at 6 pm at the Multifunctional Room, Main Library, Her Excellency Celsa Nuño, Spanish Ambassador will present books and other educational resources to the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.

Modern Languages Day seeks to provide information on all the languages taught at UWI, Mona namely: Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. It is also an opportunity to stimulate interest in foreign languages and promote and expose students to careers possibilities.

The university community and the public are invited to participate in Modern Languages Day.
