“Chappie” Closes March is Movie Month Series

The final Movie Month activity, on March 30 will feature a documentary film with Cinematographer and Lecturer, Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), Franklyn St. Juste. Mr. St. Juste has directed a number of award winning documentaries and has also worked on feature films such as The Harder They Come.  The presentation is entitled, “Originations and Reflections on the Search for A Caribbean Aesthetic.” The event is set for 6 pm at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1), UWI, Mona. 
 
Previous speakers in the Series include  filmmaker and author, Barbara Blake-Hannah; Chris Browne, Director of Third World Cop and Ghett’A Life; and Storm Saulter, Director of Better Mus’ Come and activist filmmaker, Esther Figueroa. 
 
All are invited to attend the event. Admission is FREE.
