The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at UWI, Mona will host another seminar in its Departmental Series on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 5 pm at Room N5, UWI, Mona. The seminar is entitled, "Gyno-Exclusivism: Negotiating spaces of alterity as presented in "Juletane,' 'Femmes Echouées' & 'Le Quimboiseur L'avait dit.'"  Ms. Rashell Powell, a graduate student in the Department will make the presentation. 
 
Her presentation is centered on how women living in patriarchal societies attempt to create spaces of exclusion for men, other women and to an extent the self (that is the woman).
