UWI Pop Society Stage Benefit Concert

The UWI Pop Society will re-stage their 2012 major season, 'Rhythm of Life' at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts as a benefit for Jadon Dixon. The Benefit Concert is set for Friday, April, 20, 2012 at 7 pm at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts (PSCCA). 
 
Jadon Dixon, is the two year old son of a member of staff at UWI, Mona  who has a health condition called Neurofibromatosis Type 1, which causes tumors to appear anywhere on the body. He requires specialist treatment in the USA which will cost US$70,000. 
 
The Benefit hopes to assist in raising over J$1 million. Tickets are J$1000 each and are available at the Centre or on the night of the performance. 
 
In addition, the Philip Sherlock Centre will also light up the main building in blue in recognition of World Autism Awareness Month, as part of the worldwide Light it Blue campaign on April 20.
