Modern Languages and Literatures Seminar Examines Literary Perspectives in “Aunt Jen”

"Literary Perspectives on Citizenship in Paulette Ramsay's Aunt Jen" is the title of the seminar being hosted by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at UWI, Mona. The presentation will be made by Ms. Carrie Walker, PhD Candidate at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  The seminar is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 5 pm at Room N5, UWI, Mona. 
 
Her research investigates how women writers from Africa and the Diaspora revise the classic epistolary form to endorse and challenge universal human rights discourse. Carrie’s research interests include transnational feminism and Africana literature.
