The Department of Community Health and Psychiatry, UWI Mona will host its closing exercise for its course called Community Care of the Elderly in the Caribbean on Wednesday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Karen Bell, Director of Family Health Services in the Ministry of Health. The exercise ends a five-month course in which 15 persons from Jamaica and 3 other Caribbean territories were trained to care for the elderly. Participants included nurses, community health aids, as well as persons working in organizations which care for senior citizens. The venue for the ceremony will be the MPH classroom in the Department on the Mona Campus.
