Impact of Natural Hazards in Jamaica
The Unit for Disaster Studies, Department of Geography & Geology, Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, UWI, Mona, in association with the Geological Society of Jamaica, the Jamaica Geographical Society, National Environment & Planning Agency and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management present a public lecture titled What Can Be Done To Reduce the Impact of Natural Hazards in Jamaica. The speaker is Dr. Earl. E. Brabb, Scientist Emeritus, United States Geological Survey, Menlo Park, California. The lecture will take place on Thursday, July 17 at 5.45 p.m. at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge & Conference Centre, UWI, Mona Campus. Light refreshments will be served from 5.45 to 6.00 o’ clock.
