REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE SITTING OF EXAMINATIONS FOR SEMESTER II 2012-2013

 
 
All students are asked to note that as far as is practicable, mid-semester examinations for Semester II will once again be scheduled in a manner similar to final examinations and will be subject to the rules and procedures applicable to final exams.
 
Please note carefully the following: 
 
i.            Except for students in the MBBS Programme, mid-semester examinations will be scheduled as much as possible during regular class time from February 25 – March 8, 2013. All examinations will be held in central locations. Students in the MBBS Programme will be examined separately in a different period to be agreed.
 
ii.            Entrance to each examination room will be allowed to students who:
a.       are duly registered for the courses scheduled for examination AND
b.      have balances less than or equal to $2,000 OR
c.       are current with their payments under an approved installment plan.
 
iii.         Students MUST ensure that they take their valid UWI IDs to Examination Centres.
iv.            Students who wish to be admitted to mid-semester examinations MUST be fully paid up or must make payment plans with the Bursary on or before February 10, 2013.
 
v.            Students who have not settled their financial obligations by February 10, 2013, and do not have an approved payment plan, will be barred from OURVLE and hence will not be able to sit any exams administered through this medium. (No alternative examinations will be set for exams missed.)
 
vi.            Students who satisfactorily settle their financial obligations after the holding of mid-semester examinations and BEFORE final examinations in April/May, will be allowed to sit their final exams, but will lose the marks for any component of the course which was missed due to the lack of financial clearance.
