The UWI Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC) will host orientation sessions for its students from Monday August 25 to Thursday, August 28. Students are asked to note that these sessions are compulsory and that distance students are expected to participate in orientation via teleconference from their respective Distance Education Centres. Both new and returning students might be required to remain after the orientation session to complete registration. Intra-Jamaican students registering online should consult their site coordinator about the relevant arrangements. The schedule for Jamaican students is as follows: on Monday, August 25, B.Ed. Administration, level 2 students, 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. B.Ed. Administration, new level 3, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and B.Ed. Administration, finalising level 3 students, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, August 26, Certificate in Public Administration and Certificate in Business Administration students should attend from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. B.Sc. Management Studies, level 1 students and B.Sc. Agribusiness Management Studies, level 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Wednesday, August 27, B.Sc. Management Studies, level 2 students and B.Sc. Agribusiness Management, level 2 students should attend orientation from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., B.Sc. Management Studies, level 3 and B.Sc. Agribusiness Management level 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, August 28, orientation for returning students in the Jamaica Secondary Bachelor of Education Programme will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. while orientation for students in the Advanced Diploma in Construction Engineering will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
