The full orientation programme for new students at UWI Mona will begin on Monday, August 25 in the Assembly Hall at Mona. The sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and at 9:15 there will be a presentation on the History of the UWI while at 9:45 new students will learn how to make the most of the University. This will be followed by a presentation on Student Financing and Budgeting. On Thursday, August 28, there will be a live broadcast of Laing and Company on Power 106 FM beginning at 2:00 p.m. during the session The Role of Sports in Students Learning and Development. The day’s activities will end with a get-together hosted by the Director of Student Services and the President of the Guild of Students. The event takes place at the Students’ Union from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All new students are strongly urged to attend the orientation activities so that they can gain important information and have their questions answered.
