A group of eight recent graduates of the Faculty of Humanities and Education at UWI, Mona and two from the Cave Hill Campus are currently attached to several Universities in Colombia as teaching assistants of English Language for one year. This arrangement falls under an agreement between the UWI and the Instituto Colombiano Para el Credito en el Exterior in Colombia. Sixteen undergraduate students who participated in the fourth student exchange programme, returned to the island at the end of July from their six weeks immersion Spanish course at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. During the same period sixteen Colombian students were at Mona participating in the immersion English course.
