The Main Library at UWI Mona is currently hosting an exhibition of works by noted Jamaican ceramist, Norma Rodney Harrack. The exhibition is titled From Taino to Contemporary and showcases the development of ceramics in our cultural heritage. It details examples of Jamaica’s earliest potters, the Tainos, and highlights the artist’s own personal expression of work that is contemporary. At the same time it communicates a sense of the potter’s past. The exhibition is a must see for all pottery lovers and is open for daily viewing at the Main Library until October 24.
