Annual Graduation Ceremonies
The Annual Graduation Ceremonies at the UWI Mona Campus will take place on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 on the lawns adjacent to the Undercroft of the Senate Building beginning at 5.30 p.m. On Friday, November 8, graduates of the Faculties of Humanities and Education, Engineering, Pure and Applied Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Sciences and Law will be presented to newly appointed Chancellor, Sir George Alleyne.
The Presentation of Graduates from the Faculties of Medical Sciences and Social Sciences will take place on Saturday, November 8. Honorary Degrees will also be presented at the two ceremonies. The Governor General of Jamaica, His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Howard Cooke and Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Carlton Davis, will receive the Doctor of Laws Degree at Friday’s ceremony while Communications Consultant, Barbara Gloudon will receive the Doctor of Letters and Professor Herbert Sewell will receive the Doctor of Science degree at the ceremony on Saturday.
