The School of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Education, UWI, Mona will host its Biennial Conference from April 15-17, 2004 at the Rennaissance Jamaica Grande, Ocho Rios. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Achievements in Caribbean Education: Transformation Diversity and Collaboration. The sub themes include Leadership and Management in Education; Professionalism and Teacher Education; Education: Access, Retention and Standards; Educational Institutions: Capacity Building; Life Long Learning; Issues and Challenges; Technology in Teaching and Learning; Curriculum Reform: Myths and Realities; Education: Monitoring and Assessment; Virtual Learning and Distance Education; Educating Children who are at risk; Communication in the Modern Classroom; Social Perspectives: Transformation and Change. All prospective presenters are required to complete a registration form as well as the presenter’s form; and submit an abstract for the proposed presentation. The deadline for abstracts is December 31, 2003 and registration is from November 3, 2003 – February 28, 2004.
