Application for January 2004

Applications are invited for entry in January 2004 from suitably qualified persons who wish to pursue the Post Graduate Degree in Oral Medicine, to be offered by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, UWI, St. Augustine. The Post-graduate Degree in Oral Medicine is suitable for graduates in dentistry or medicine. The programme spans one academic year full-time or two academic years part-time. Students will develop skills in the area of diagnosis and non-invasive treatment of oral mucosal diseases, oro-facial pain, temporomandibular joint disorders, salivary gland disorders and management of oral diseases in medically compromised patients.
Applicants for the programme must satisfy the general University regulations governing admission to a higher degree and must possess a bachelor’s degree in dentistry or medicine (DDS/BDS/MBBS or equivalent) from an approved University. Experience or other qualifications of special relevance to the course programme are desirable. Graduates of universities other than the UWI should request that their official transcript be forwarded directly to the School for Graduate Studies and Research, UWI, St. Augustine as soon as possible. Information on tuition fees and application forms for admission are available from the School for Graduate Studies and Research, UWI, St. Augustine.
