Miss Lashley presented a paper on the work of CARDIN, a project based in the Science Library, which involves the collation and dissemination of research on all aspects of disasters and disaster management in the Caribbean. Dr. Gordon Stair’s presentation was on the disaster mental health and support services carried out by the Jamaica Red Cross. Dr. Stair and Dr. Pottinger are both volunteers with this programme.
