The Commuting Students’ Committee will launch the Commuting Students Outreach Club on March 18 on the Lawns of the Commuting Students’ Lounge from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Outreach activity will be with The Hope Institute, a residential care facility for cancer patients. Students are encouraged to support this venture and to join the club as it has scope for inclusion on their co-curricular transcripts. The club meets at Commuting Students’ Lounge at 2:00 p.m. each Thursday during the Semester. On March 23 the Committee will host the Commuting Students Expo on the Lawns of Commuting Students’ Lounge between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Specific objectives are to provide students with information on services that are available for them at UWI. Clubs and societies will also set up booths and commuting students will provide a lunch hour concert displaying their talents. The host will be Sherando Ferril from FAME FM.
