Haiti 200: The Haiti/Jamaica Connection
In continuation of the celebration of the bicentenary of the Haitian Revolution and the International Year of the Struggle against Slavery, Haiti 200: The Haiti/Jamaica Connection, an exhibition produced by the National Library of Jamaica, has been mounted in the link way to the Elsa Goveia Reading Room. The exhibition which was on display for the Symposium put on by the Latin American-Caribbean Centre on April 3rd will run until April 16th. The exhibition highlights the presence of Haitians in Jamaica and includes interesting facts about several former Haitian leaders who had sought refuge in Jamaica.
