The film is in English with Spanish subtitles. “Scent of an Oak” is set in the first half of the 19th century in Cuba. Ursula Lambert, a beautiful and distinguished black woman from Haiti and a romantic German tradesman are the two main characters in this story of boundless love that made the richest coffee plantation in Cuba -- Angerona -- reach its peak.
