Public Lecture - Multiracial Issues in Nursing and Health Care

Dr. Carol Baxter, professor of nursing at the School of Health and Social Sciences and Head of the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Research and Development, Middlesex University, England will deliver a public lecture on “Multiracial issues in nursing and health care: A British Perspective”, on May 20, 2004 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. The venue for the lecture is the Main Medical Lecture Theatre, University Hospital of the West Indies, Mona.
Dr. Baxter is a visiting professor to the Department of Advanced Nursing Education (DANE), University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona and is a noted researcher on the topic to be addressed in the lecture. During her visit she launched the Mary Jane Seivwright Distinguished Nursing Research Lecture and was the keynote speaker at DANE’s Annual Nursing Midwifery Research Conference. This lecture will be of special interest to nurses and other members of the health team as well as persons interested in related social issues.
